Fresh and Local! Now you can get it and more year-round at Talbotville Berry Farm Market. A 100 + acre farm that is conveniently located on HWY #4 just off the 401. The farm is family owned and operated by Shirley & Gerry Simpson, and their two girls Rose and Rachel. More than 30 different crops are grown and hand picked by local residents. Strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries, peas, beans, tomatoes, corn, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, squash, and dozens of kinds of pumpkins are among the favourites for locals and visitors of Elgin County.
Talbotville Berry Farm Market celebrated their grand opening December 2016.
The new farm market offers many perks! The Community Room, with a capacity of 59 people is great for offsite meetings, corporate events, baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, any special function you might have in mind. All food is catered out of their on site certified commercial kitchen. TBF Market has diversified, it hosts a senior lunch on Wednesday's and weekly paint workshops, where you can learn how to refinish your pre-loved furniture. The original road side stand was built in 1969 by Shirley's parents - Peter and Mary Oostvogels, the dream is kept alive in their newly built farm market. It is a place where everyone is welcome. A place where people can reconnect with each other, their food, and their farmer.
TBF Market is proud that their own hand picked produce goes into their jams, jellies, preserves and farm made meals. They are also proud to support other local growers and producers, including beef, chicken, cheese, maple syrup, honey, ice cream, GF, vegan products and more!
School field bus trips, bus tours, farm dinners, cooking classes, corn mazes, wagon rides and seasonal events fill up their year-round calendar and make it your destination for a great farm experience!
