Why should your Organization be a member of the St. Thomas Elgin Tourist Association?
Tourism is one of the fastest growing parts of the economy. The St. Thomas-Elgin Tourist Association is committed to developing a sustainable long term strategy to promote the tourism industry in this area. Membership Fees are a major component of the operating budget of the Association. The more people that join the Association, the more power the Association will have to promote St. Thomas and Elgin County to the world. Better promotion mean more Tourism dollars coming into Elgin County, which benefits all local businesses.

- Members will receive a listing of all our members so that you can contact anyone in your line of work and do some networking to get promotional ideas and selling points
- Your brochures will be distributed to more than 20 locations in Elgin County
The Tourist Association launched a new web-site in November 1998. In 2002 we initiated a major update.It is a dramatic improvement over the previous web-site in turns of promoting the individual members. The new site provides a multitude of ways for a client to find a member's business listing through an interactive on-line database. An attractive Event Calendar (New in 2004)gives visitors and residents a good reason to keep returning to the Elgin Tourism web-site. An on-line Elgin County tour, detailed maps, and comprehensive information about Elgin County further adds to the web-sites' attractiveness.
Finally, use the St. Thomas-Elgin Tourist Association to distribute information about your business. At the moment, the Tourist Association has 19 tourist information displays in Elgin County and St. Thomas. Provide the Association with Brochures and they will get distributed where tourists go to find information about Elgin County.
Annual Membership Fees
The Annual membership fee to the St. Thomas Elgin Tourist Association is $80.00/year. This includes a detailed listing on the Tourist web-site (including a clickable link to your web-site, if you have one).
