Ontario's South Coast Advertising Campaign Kicks Off
![]() If you ask Elgin County Tourism representatives, partnerships pay. Beginning September 22nd a four week campaign of radio, print, web and direct marketing will promote Elgin County as part of a new Ontario's South Coast marketing partnership venture with Norfolk and Haldimand Counties. The promotion will target the London, Kitchener and Hamilton areas. The costs of the $15,000 campaign will be shared by the Counties of Elgin, Norfolk and Haldimand, with an infusion of $6,000 courtesy of the Industry Partnership Proposal Program (IPPP) of the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation. "If we had to pay for this on our own, we'd use a significant part of our advertising budget. By partnering with Norfolk and Haldimand, we not only can take advantage of the grant available through the IPPP, but share the work necessary to execute the campaign," said Deputy Director of Community and Cultural Services, Alan Smith. The 30 second radio ads will air 20 times a week on 102.9 K-Lite FM, Hamilton, 20 times a week on CKOC, Kitchener, 20 Times a week on Talk 820 Kitchener, and 30 times per week on EZ Rock, London. ( Listen to the Commercial in MP3 Format ) The soothing sounding audio pieces are designed to attract retired city dwellers and adventurers to our natural, friendly environment. The ads will then direct listeners to the website www.gosouthcoast.ca, which will provide links to each county's individual websites. Ontario's South Coast half page banners will run on The Weather Network website for the four week duration at. www.weathernetwork.ca The weather on each of the stations will also be "brought to you by Go South Coast dot CA" A direct marketing campaign of Ontario's South Coast postcards will complete the advertising package.
